Strategic Acquisition of KNOW-WILDFIRE
ROCKVILLE, MD — January 19, 2026 — N5 Sensors, Inc., a leader in threat monitoring and AI-driven environmental intelligence, just announced the acquisition of KNOW-WILDFIRE, a pre-response situational awareness and preparedness platform. The acquisition strengthens N5 Sensors’ position as a premier provider of end-to-end threat and situational awareness solutions for natural disaster preparedness.
KNOW-WILDFIRE integrated with N5SHIELD® improves pre-response decision-making by correlating and contextualizing multiple early wildfire signals. While N5’s hardware “sniffs” out the earliest signs of ignition—often 30 to 60 minutes before 911 calls are placed—KNOW-WILDFIRE adds critical hyper-local data to support initial size-up and provide real-time situational awareness.

A Multi-Modal Approach to Fire Safety
The acquisition addresses a critical gap in wildfire management: the transition from early detection to actionable intelligence. The combined platform will now offer:
- Hyper-Local Sensing: N5's penny-sized semiconductor sensors detect gases and particulates 1,000x more sensitively than those available to environmental smoke detectors.
- Multiple Signal Fusion: The fusion of multiple signals provides context that significantly improves the accuracy of AI-driven alerts.
- Public Safety Dashboards: Enhanced visualization tools based on the same data designed to get the right information to the right person for the immediate decisions they are making.
Heather Dawson, CEO of No Wildfire Inc, and inventor of the KNOW-WILDFIRE platform joins N5 Sensors as Vice President of Product Management, where she will work closely with N5’s Product and Sales teams to accelerate platform innovation and customer impact.
